HOW SAD THE FAIRY TALE ENDEDIt was 1974 and there was a menacing storm that night with close striking lightning and on and off again pounding rain. My best friend and I, were at work at the Circle, a fast food, car hop, restaurant, thus named because the building was circular in structure. I was in my late teens and had recently lost my soul mate, Cliff, when a drunk driver hit his VW “bug” head on. My best friend and I both had begged him three days before he was killed to get rid of that death trap he was driving, but he refused to listen. He had to be given a closed casket funeral because he had been mangled beyond recognition in that tiny VW, as well as,

This storyline is pointless,

Why not make it over?

A secret would be a good place to start.

A battle with time to keep from losing your mind.
A map with blank corners, etched upon your heart.

Lying out under the stars,talking in code.
The way friends always do, as the secret
Becomes their life, a way to escape
Thus the squares begin to shape.

Each pulse is clicking, full of life
Both souls are new, shiny and bright.

The DreamWith respect I would like to channel and redirect,
that from the bottom of my broken and barren soul,
I have now lost all self-control.
Arms outstretched and weightless,
suddenly metamorphosing into wishful wings...
To jet-set and take flight,
flapping fearlessly with the fervour of the somber moonlight.
Time eroded and erased.
A twisted time from within.
Swimming breathlessly through the sugary swept space...
Universe unfolding and colliding in a perfect run of grace.
Jagged journey from the inside looking out.
Spatial gap cannot find the direct route.
Buried too far beneath the treasure trap...
never care to ever look back.
Seek and Find let it in unwind.
Sucked back dripping into the vortex of time.
High above the tree-tops once again,
wings weightlessly swinging.
Air infused portal now back to the beginning.
It has all been said and done before,
when we enter that darkened and shadowy door.
If there is a Question there is an Answer like once before.

The path that I thought led to a light
has brought me back to this barren dessert.
My dreams of learning, growing and staying strong
are fading away.
Everything I'm made of screams;
I say I don't hear it, but I know I do
because of that place inside that always speaks the truth;

a million times can hide.

The black, empty, cold night;
I could write thousands of fascinating words about it,
and somehow it describes me in a way I'm not entirely sure how,
but I stare at it; somehow I see my fate: dark but still beautiful

living and LivingThis year, I am going to live.

That is my resolution; to simply be alive. For that is something that I have never truly been before. Sure, I’ve been breathing and functioning and doing everything that one would class as ‘living’ but I’ve never been alive. Not really.

Confessing Your Love Is Hard

I never truly experienced love,
but I think crushing on someone comes pretty darn close
especially since I always thought about all those boys
constantly, day after day.
It goes on for months,
for years,
all up until the last day of school,
and no longer can I see any of them again.
I can't ask them for promises of keeping in touch,
because I never told them my feelings
and since they never told theirs to me,
I thought there was no point in confessing.
It means they don't love me enough, right?
If the guy doesn't confess to me first,
then there's no point in confessing at all, right?

But hello!
It's the 21st century! Girls often ask out boys nowadays!
